Tramming with a baby in Zürich

Getting around Zürich is really easy with lots of trams, trains and buses to take you really anywhere in Switzerland you want to go. Now doing all that with a baby, well there are some things to keep in mind. Not all trams are pram (stroller for my US readers) friendly for our mamas trying to get around the city. Zürich seems to slowly be replacing the old trams, but till then keep an eye out when with your pram as the old trams have stairs which make it challenging to get in without the help of someone else. Luckily the new trams all have easy access and usually have a pram/wheelchair area towards the front of the tram. I've started a list which i'll share below of on

to keep out for.

Trains usually have a wheelchair/pram friendly cabin towards the front of the train. Of course there are a few of the older ones that are little difficult but haven't had one of these yet popping in and out of the city.

Buses are always easy, except when the bus stops a bit far from the curb, other than that all is ok there.

Trams with easy access: 2, 6, 10, 12

Trams with easy access every other tram: 4, 7, 11, 14

Trams without easy access: 5, 15;
