Book time!!

How excited was I to see my 2 year old reading a book called the Happy Toddler. Ah we can dream right. It would make sense though if these little ones could just read about how they should be happy and then we don’t have to figure it out. haha

Aside from this book I have certainly read my share of books and always open for suggestions. Here‘s a list of what i’ve read pre and post birth and my brief thoughts on them.

What to expect when expecting, by Heidi Murkoff - A must read and has lots of good information for you to read along your journey of being pregnant. It gives you a month by month guide of tips for your pregnancy long with what’s your baby doing as he/she grows.

The Mindful mom-to-be, by Lori Bregman - Another must read, it has some chapters that were not quite my interest, but overall has a wholistic approach to pregnancy and birth and talks about the benefits of a Doula as well.

From Dude to dad, by Chris Pegula & Frank Meyer - My husband actually enjoyed reading this book. It was a light hearted and funny book for a new dad and helped them understand a bit of what we are going through.

What to expect in the first year, by Heidi Murkoff - This book started off good, but have to say didn't get too far in it, started to read other books

Secret of the baby whisperer, Tracy Hogg - This is a book I wish I had read sooner than when I did. I actually did know about it till my daughter was 1, and wish I had know when she was a few months old to be able to read it early on and understand more of sleep patterns.

How to Raise a Happy Toddler, Tizzie Hall - This book was given to me by a friend and have found it really helpful for knowing what to do as a first time mom.

Montessori Toddler, Simone Davies - I've just started to read this book, as I really think the Montessori was of a toddler growing up is fabulous. It can be challenging for a full Montessori style, so we are doing a mix and trying to introduce as much as we can.
